How the coach picks your weight and repsPlus

Reach the top of your rep range on every set and the weight goes up. Fall short and the coach asks for one more rep.

Steps

  1. Open a workout. The coach line under each exercise shows today's target, like "Coach: 155 lb × 10".

    Step 1
  2. Lift and log what you really did. The coach works from your log, not from the plan.

    Step 2
  3. Next time, look at the coach line again. It has moved on from your last session.

Good to know

  • Every working set at the top of the range: next time adds one step, 2.5 kg on upper-body barbell lifts, 5 kg on lower-body ones and 2 kg on dumbbells.
  • Short of the top: the weight stays, and the coach asks for one more rep than your best set.
  • Two sessions in a row below the range: the weight drops ten percent, so you can build back up.
  • On a low readiness day, the coach holds the weight instead of adding to it.
  • It is a starting point, not an order. Change any number before you lift.
