Privacy policy
Effective 25 October 2026.
Dolmen has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no server that stores anything. Its only network requests are for Strava and WHOOP, and only after you connect them yourself (see below). Nothing about you is ever sold. The one exception is official technique pages and videos, which load from their publisher, and from YouTube for videos, only when you open them; Dolmen sends nothing about you with them.
Workouts, routines and settings
They are stored on your devices: on your iPhone and in its backup, and on your Apple Watch, which passes the workouts you log there to your paired iPhone. We never receive them. You can export your training yourself as CSV; it goes only where you send it. Files you import from other apps are read on your device and are not sent anywhere.
Apple Health
Only if you turn it on, Dolmen saves your workouts to Apple Health. On iPhone it also reads your workouts there, only to recognize workouts your Apple Watch already saved, so none is saved twice. If you connect Apple Health for readiness, it reads your heart rate variability, resting heart rate, heart rate, breathing rate, sleeping wrist temperature, sleep stages, cardio fitness (VO2 max), workouts other apps saved, and your date of birth and sex, to work out your readiness, training load, sleep, night signals and cardio fitness on the device, and to give the on-device coach context. On Apple Watch it reads your heart rate and active energy during a workout to show them and save them with the workout. Health data is used only for that, stays on your devices, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is never used for advertising. To stop saving workouts, turn off Save workouts to Health in Dolmen's settings. To stop Dolmen reading Health data, change its permissions in the Health app.
Apple Intelligence
The workout debrief, the routine builder and Ask Dolmen use Apple's language model on your iPhone. What they read from your log and from Health is processed on the device and is not sent to us or anyone else.
Strava
Optional. Only if you connect your Strava account in Dolmen's settings, Dolmen sends Strava the workouts you post there, or every finished workout if you turn on posting them automatically: the workout's name, start time, duration and a description listing its exercises, sets and new records. When a post got no answer, Dolmen reads your Strava activities from around that workout's time, only to see whether it arrived, so it is never posted twice. Dolmen contacts Strava for nothing else. Signing in to Strava, and renewing that sign-in, passes through a small relay we run on Cloudflare that adds Dolmen's Strava app key: it handles only the sign-in codes and tokens, and the basic profile Strava returns with them, such as your name, on their way to and from Strava. It never sees your workouts and does not store or log any of it. The sign-in then stays in your iPhone's keychain, not in a backup. What you post is handled under Strava's own privacy policy. Disconnecting in Dolmen's settings revokes Dolmen's access; activities already posted stay on Strava until you delete them there. Health data is never sent to Strava.
WHOOP
Optional. Only if you connect your WHOOP account in Dolmen's settings, Dolmen reads your WHOOP recovery (recovery score, heart rate variability and resting heart rate) and sleep (sleep times and stages) from the last 30 days, to work out your readiness and sleep on the device and to give the on-device coach context. It only reads, and asks WHOOP for nothing else. Signing in to WHOOP, and renewing that sign-in, passes through a second small relay we run on Cloudflare that adds Dolmen's WHOOP app key: it handles only the sign-in codes and tokens on their way to and from WHOOP, never sees your WHOOP data, and does not store or log any of it. The values come straight from WHOOP to your iPhone, which keeps them in a cache and passes them with your readiness to your paired Apple Watch; the sign-in stays in your iPhone's keychain, not in a backup. Disconnecting in Dolmen's settings revokes Dolmen's access and wipes the cache. WHOOP data is never sent to us or to Strava, never sold or shared with anyone, and never used for advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. We do not see your payment details.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes what it stored on your devices. Disconnect Strava and WHOOP in Dolmen's settings first: that revokes Dolmen's access and removes the saved sign-ins, which can otherwise stay in your iPhone's keychain. Workouts already saved to Apple Health or posted to Strava, and files you exported, stay there until you delete them.
